The Weekly Poser: Where is this?

A Railway Clearing House diagram from 1913. Where is it?

Last week's Where is this?

No extra words this week, just the photo. Where is it?

Answer: Maidenhead. Congratulations are due to the following for their correct answers: Phil Deaves, Dave Goodyear, Paul Hopper, Bryn Pitcher, Leslie Braithwaite

This is the first through train on the Elizabeth Line from Reading to Abbey Wood, approaching Maidenhead. It would become the 09.07 from Maidenhead, taken on 6th November 2022 (18 months ago). Despite the significance of the day, there was no razzmatazz and I was the only photographer there.

The tight turn onto the Marlow branch is on the right, electrified only as a headshunt. The Elizabeth Line stabling area is hidden by the signal.

The info screens show "Abbey Wood" at Maidenhead and "Maidenhead" at Canary Wharf for the first time.
