A railway works and two stations. Where is it?

The Cambrian Railway was headquartered in Oswestry. The GWR operated the branch to Gobowen from their own station, and only merged stations after 1923 when the Cambrian was absorbed. The loco works persisted until 1966; the Grade II listed buildings survived to become a retail outlet.
The passenger shuttle to Gobowen also ended in 1966 but the railway survived by serving Nantmawr quarry. The new A483 bypass was built with a level crossing for the occasional train. A short section south from Oswestry is now the Cambrian Heritage Railway. For some reason, they have adopted GWR-brand colours on the website rather than the Cambrian green/brown. If you are missing the Pacers (!), 144006 and 144007 are there.
Welshpool & Llanfair loco overhauls were carried out at Oswestry Works. After the line closed in 1955, 822 (The) Earl and 823 (The) Countess were stored there (21/6/59). Image credit: Jack Faithfull RCTS Collection.
